Intelligent Product Recommendations

Increase your average order value with automated, context-aware AI product recommendations.

EcomBot does more than just answer your visitors' questions. It acts as a proactive sales advisor, capable of suggesting the right accessories and complementary products at the perfect moment to increase your store's Average Order Value (AOV).

How does it work?

The intelligent recommendation system operates on multiple layers to ensure the most relevant suggestions possible:

  1. Manual Recommendations: You remain in full control. Define your own recommendations for a specific product directly from the EcomBot dashboard. These suggestions override all others.
  2. E-commerce Synchronization (Cross-sells): The system integrates seamlessly with your store. If you use WooCommerce, EcomBot automatically fetches your "Cross-sells" and "Up-sells" defined in your catalog.
  3. AI Vector Engine: If no manual or linked recommendations are found, Artificial Intelligence takes over. Our engine analyzes the semantics of your product pages to automatically find and suggest the most similar and complementary products.

Trigger Mechanics

To avoid being intrusive, EcomBot respects the "Right to Silence": it only intervenes when it determines it has a high-value proposition.

1. The Proactive Card (Dwell Time)

When a visitor spends more than 25 seconds on one of your product pages (indicating strong interest), EcomBot discreetly displays a small animated "Suggestion" card above the widget. This card showcases a complementary product along with its price and a direct shortcut. It automatically disappears if the visitor ignores it to not disrupt navigation.

  • Micro-Urgency and Conversion: To maximize the click-through rate, the card incorporates a micro-urgency progress bar. This visual marker indicates to the customer that the recommendation is fleeting (it disappears after a few seconds), creating a natural FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) that accelerates decision-making and add-to-cart actions.

2. Conversational Cross-selling

When a visitor asks for help regarding a specific product, the AI can detect if an "essential accessory" is required (e.g., screws for a decking board, a cable for a charger). It will then scan your catalog and naturally suggest the accessory within the conversation.

How to set your manual recommendations?

  1. Log in to your EcomBot dashboard.
  2. Go to the Catalog tab.
  3. Click on a product to open its details.
  4. In the "Recommendations" section, choose the products you want to feature.
  5. Your selections are automatically sent and synchronized with your store.

Note: This feature is available out-of-the-box if you are using the official EcomBot WooCommerce plugin (version 1.4.4 or higher).
